Reading Data from ADS-B Demod .CSV Logs

Post by ADSBSDRNOOB »

Hello, I'm interested in using the data from the .CSV logs made by the ADS-B demodulator plugin to analyze the flight paths of aircraft that frequent my area. Recording to file works great, but I'm encountering a bug that causes SDRAngel to close the .csv log file shortly after it has been opened. Ideally I would like to be able to 'decode' this data outside of SDRAngel, or port it into another program for analyses. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

What OS? Anything in the log file that may say what the problem is? How long is a short amount of time?

Running in Pop! OS, which is Ubuntu 22.04. Logs show reading CSV, but after approximately one minute all data disappears from the ADS-B demod plugin. Nothing in log after opening CSV file, except closing separate map plugin which itself did not cause the bug. Can continuously reopen log file with only this issue recurring.

Open display settings and increase aircraft timeout from 60 seconds.

If an aircraft isn't heard from within this timeout, it will be removed.
